海講座　さとき日記　Umicoza Satoki diary

こんにちは、さときです。
How's it going, everybody?

毎年この時期八重山高校の生徒が職場体験で当方海講座を訪ねてくれます。
Every this season students of Yaeyama high school located in Ishigaki island visit to our Umicoza, as their training for actual work sites in this island.

今年も元気な若人、トモユキ・リョウスケ・タクミ・ジュンの４名が来てくれました。３日間の職場体験おととい、昨日は皆さんご存じのとおり海は時化々でお店で器材のメンテナンスやお掃除をお手伝いしてもらいました。しかし彼らも当然ダイビングができることを楽しみに今回の職場体験も海講座を希望してくれました。何とか若人の気持ちに応えたい、ぼくらの熱い思いが通じたのか今日は、、、、
We welcomed four boys, Tomoyuki, Ryosuke, Takumi and Jun this year. Today is final day for their three days training. Not only the day before but yesterday we had strong wind & choppy condition, so four students spend their training time for helping maintenance for diving gears or cleaning up facility in land. Of course having their strong desire, enjoy diving in the sea, and four teenager chose their three days training place in our Umicoza.

Fortunately today's good day for diving.

さすが、島の子。どの子もスイスイと潜降し、石垣島の水中を満喫しておりました。
This was first diving for all of them. But they were born here and grow up here diving paradise Ishigaki island, it means Scuba diving DNA (??) has already been accumulated in all boy's bodies. Their diving skills were great!!

普段、忙しさに感けて石垣島のためにお役立ちできる機会がなかなかありませんので今日は少しいいことできたかなという自己満です。

今日潜ってくれたみんなが石垣島の海にもっと興味をもってもらえたら光栄です。
After first diving in their home ocean and if they re-realized their beautiful nature and became interested in keep them, today's our job was very meaningful.
