今日は陸番

How's it going, everybody?
こんにちは、さときです。

Today I worked on the earth, not in the ocean. It's unusual, is it?? The matter held me up on land, that is,,,,,,,
今日は珍しく陸番です。そのわけは、、、、、



Our taxi boat between main diving boat, First dive, and the beach, Sylpheed, she is now on the land.
海講座にお越しなったことがある方ならよくご存じのタクシーボート、沖に係留されているファーストダイブ号とビーチを往復する小さな船シルフィード号が現在お店の横に上がっております。



Outboard engine's already disassembled for repair by a repair shop. Engine repair is little (too) technical for me. So I repaired cracks on the vessel's body by FRP -Fiber Reinforced Plastic-. Working contents are simple, but some points are tough. One is today's strong sunshine, in a few minutes I felt dizzy under the direct sunshine. Another is "Devil particle", before pasting glass fiber cloth existing paint on the body has to be ripped off by hand sander. If you have experienced your surf board repair by yourself, you well-know it. This grinded down particle is on our skin, and then we perspire. It becomes very very itchy. So I call it, "Devil particle".
船外機は既に取り外され、現在はオーシャンマリンの大城さんのところで修理です。エンジンの修理はちょっとぼくには身が重いので、船体にヒビが入っている部分をＦＲＰで修理しました。作業内容はそれほど難しくないですが、困難な点が２点あります。１点目は今日の溶けるような暑さと日差しです、直射日光下での作業は水を何杯飲んでも堪えます。２点目はいわゆる“悪魔の粉”です。グラスファイバーのクロスを貼る前に既存の塗料をサンダーで剥がなければならないのですが、この粉が体についた後に汗をかくとえらく痒くなります。サーフボードを修理したことある方ならわかるはずです。とてもとてもチクチクです。それでぼくは“悪魔の粉”と呼んでおります。

悪魔の粉に打ち勝った、今日の成果がこれです。



After painting gel coat, the making-up was completed.
ペンキも塗ってお化粧完了です。
